The symposium will address the challenges in the context of security and sustainability on the one hand, and the associated impact assessments and protection strategies on the other. Within this framework, the political strategies, developments and requirements of sustainability will be highlighted. This is placed in the context of the various, partly overlapping, crises (e.g. climate crisis, health crisis). Following this, aspects of impact assessment and protection strategies are outlined. It addresses a) strategic anchoring of sustainability criteria in prevention, b) the links to digitalisation, c) consideration in education and d) communication to raise awareness among the population.
