DGUV Expert Meeting on Assistance Systems for Accident Prevention

Vision Zero is the vision of a world without occupational accidents and work-related illnesses. Driver assistance systems can also contribute to achieving the zero-accident goal. After all, comfort and safety are characteristics attributed to driver assistance systems for commercial vehicles and mobile machinery. Not whether, but how driver and other operator assistance systems can actually be effective for accident prevention is still unclear. In order to answer open questions, the statutory accident insurance has initiated a cross-sector dialog, identified needs and fields of action, and put together initial work packages. With this meeting, the German Social Accident Insurance (DGUV) is organizing a forum for dialog and exchange on the trendy topic of assistance systems with a focus on safety and the prevention of accidents at work, on the way to work, and on the way to work.
